Prickly pear liqueur is made from the wonderful sun-ripened fruit, requiring no special care or water. The prickly pear is a very sweet fruit, which in addition to being delicious eaten as it is, consumed in its natural state as soon as it is picked, is used in the kitchen to make jams, cakes, ice cream and, of course, also for this delicious liqueur. Prickly pear has a high fiber content, is energizing and thirst quenching. The liqueur is excellent as an end to a meal, preferably drunk cold, with added ice or neat.
